Live webinar – interested?

Shares

Hi everyone,

I am considering running a series of live webinars (free) on various aspects of behaviour management and motivating students - but it depends on the response.

The webinars would consist of me giving a presentation live online which you can watch/listen to and then I will open up to questions if we have time. As many of you know I haven't been well enough to run live training for over six months now so I would be using this initially to 'ease' myself back into running courses (so go easy on me!!! :-). If it goes well and everyone enjoys it we might make it a regular thing but I need to know if you want me to run them or not so... if you are interested please leave a comment below.

Best wishes,

Rob Plevin

Not sure if my input is still valid, but I would love to be part of your Needs-based online free webinars.

The webinar sounds like manna from heaven. As a paraprofessional, I am sure I speak for many when I say that we can use all the help we can get. What you are offering us is quite a generous gift. I am sure many children will benefit from whatever knowledge you are kind enough to pass on. Thanks

Mar says 9th January 2011

Hi Rob, I would love to see it live, but North Dakota is 5 or 6 hours behind UK time.

northernlights says 5th December 2010

Sounds very interesting, however it is a very busy time up to and including Christmas.

Various community performances, pantos, choral evenings, school concerts as well as parents evening and family preparations for santa.

Would the week between Boxing Day and before Hogmonay be a possiblity? I’m in Scotland so 31 and 1st and 2nd january are traditional visiting days.

Maybe something people could watch at their own times with feed back would work .

What technology would we need?

All the best

NL

I’d love to participate, it will only depend on the time/day, as I live in Brazil and teach full time (bilingual school). Therefore the recorded version might be the best.

Marcia Marques says 5th December 2010

Hello,

This sounds really interesting as I live in Portugal and would never be able to attend a live session.

I do agree with Martin and Debbie on the idea of having a recording.

Hope that everything turns out all right for you.

Best wishes,
Marcia.

carolina says 5th December 2010

Well, this sounds like a great idea. I agree with the comment from Chris about the time. I’m a bit farther away… Mexico… so if suggestions count, on weekdays UK time 1 or 2 pm sounds good ( it’s around 7 or 8 pm in Mexico) and if it’s on Saturday I guess any time is fine.

Welcome back and I look forward to seeing you!

Lina

Maggie says 5th December 2010

Sounds great. When you say ‘live’ do you mean that we need to be online at the time of delivery, or that you are recording it live?

Since I’ve followed you for some time, I’d love to be able to put a face to your name.

Keep up the good work

Maggie

Debbie in LA says 5th December 2010

I, too, love the idea of a webinar and a recording of the webinar. Sometime I just like to listen to something a little later and notice things I hadn’t picked up on the first time around.

sounds interesting

Trish says 5th December 2010

It sounds great. I would need to know when you are planning it. Like Chris mentioned timing is important. I am in the New York area and wonder about the time difference. Also weekends would be best for me. Martin suggested having a way to view a recorded version for those who can’t view it live this is a good idea although I prefer the live idea.
Thanks.

Ranae Murphy says 5th December 2010

Kazman says 5th December 2010

Sounds like a brilliant idea but as I’m a primary teacher wondered if this would be suitable for me? Do lots of supply work so need to settle new classes most days!

Martin Harnor says 5th December 2010

Hi Rob,

A great idea! Please send me further details when available.
My colleague from Making Projects Work who does a similar thing has it posted on the website so that you can play a recorded version at any time during a 24 hour period so others can catch up if they are busy while it is being transmitted. This seems to work really well.
Best wishes
Martin

Thanks, hope there is enough response.

Chris says 5th December 2010

Hi,
Sounds a good opportunity. Just a thought is the timing. Many of your followers may well work in the evenings and certainly those of us on the continent have to do so and may have a different ‘clock’ to you (I am in Northern Spain and 1 hour ahead of UK). Maybe weekends are the answer (not Sat mornings) but I don’t know if people will want to work on weekends.
Ball back to you!
Cheers
Chris

    PJ says 6th December 2010
