Which cover for my book?

Shares

I have recently secured the rights back to one of my best-selling books from my publishers. It was a huge financial investment - one which will mean my daughter has to go without Christmas presents this year - but I am sure it will be worth it. I could do with your help though...

I'll be re-releasing Take Control of the Noisy Class in January and my team are currently hard at work getting everything ready. The question is, which new cover do you think we should use?

Please type A, B or C in the comments below (plus any other comments you wish to add).

Also, if you would like to be on my LAUNCH TEAM (free copy of the book plus other goodies in return for some help with spreading the word), please let me know in the comments.

Thank You!

Here's the old cover for comparison...

Your books and videos are amazing. Book cover B is the best.

Denise says 25th November 2018

I like B the best. It looks classy.

Raquel says 25th November 2018

Hello,

C . There are two catchy features of the cover, the illustration in covers a and B and the yellow letters in cover C. I would be attracted to cover B, that tells me serious information is coming my way, deep and connected thought is rewarding for me. But I do not have much time for reading so I need someone who can quickly deliver the information, I would buy the light blue cover with the yellow letters that grab my attention and tell me that the author knows how to deliver important information in a clear and quick way.

Even better, add something green and something red to the cover. Each of the 4 main colors appeals to one type of personality, when you have the 4 colors; blue, yellow, red and green you appeal to all possible buyers.

Even more, light bright colors means younger and easier, darker and muted colors means mature and complex. Your choice.

I am telling you all of this because it was very generous of you to put in the internet how to control a group of students who come into your class.

Best of lucks.

Raquel

B is the one I like the best. Also, I would be willing to help with the launch

Paul Lewis says 24th November 2018

Book cover A

Kathryn says 24th November 2018

I think cover B. The cartoons are great and it is more eye -catching! Absolutely love your work!

Jacqueline Croker says 24th November 2018

A

Rachel thomas says 24th November 2018

My eyes were drawn straight to B (I like A too) but definitely not C. Hope that helps! 😁

Trudi Kane says 24th November 2018

I like A- it is calm, colourful and simple.

Mary Linberg says 24th November 2018

C gets my vote

Gary Spruill says 23rd November 2018

Cover “C” is best. I read everything you write, and I think it is the absolute best information a Teacher can use in the classroom. Because, it allows students to know you really care about them by giving them structure without coming across as being mean. The stars on cover C lets me know there are testimonials which tells me the book is worth reading.

Susan Jenkinson-Thompson says 23rd November 2018

A like the lighter background contrast (B alright too but not C – looks too formal)

Bill McGowan says 22nd November 2018

Hi Rob, I’d be interested in learning more about the launch team.

Bill McGowan says 22nd November 2018

Hi Rob, I like B. I think the darker color blue catches my eye more and I like the busy class illustration at the bottom. Hope that helps.

Patricia CG says 22nd November 2018

A is nice

S bwarc says 22nd November 2018

C because it has larger print. It saves getting out the glasses

Romy says 22nd November 2018

Personally, I like A. The colour of the background is lighter so the words of the title show up well. I like the cartoon picture. The humour makes the book seem approachable. C looks rather like a boring text book in comparison.

Ze says 22nd November 2018

A.
I like the calm and relaxing feeling I get when looking at the blue. The way I would like to feel in the classroom.

Ivana says 22nd November 2018

B
And if my contribution could be of any use to you, I’d like to participate in the launching of your book. I admire your commitment and always find your ideas and suggestions very useful.

A

Cere says 22nd November 2018

All have merits, but I like “B”. I would make “From chaos to calm . . .” a red font, though.

Cecilia Beckwith says 22nd November 2018

My choice is “B” I think it looks modern and classy.

Roxianne McCarty says 22nd November 2018

I like B best. I find that shade of blue more calming, and the layout is very eye-catching. I’d love to be part of your launch team. Your books have really saved my sanity this year.

Chrystina J. says 22nd November 2018

I like cover option A because it is bright! Also, I would love to be part of the launch team. 🙂

Caroline Gilchrist says 22nd November 2018

Definitely A

Shamila says 22nd November 2018

A

Mia Sebek-Reynolds says 22nd November 2018

I like A the most. B is too dark + “top-heavy”. The size of “From chaos…” is too small/insignificant. On the A cover those words are given more emphasis; also, the balance in the size between those words and the title is much better on the cover A.

Isabella says 22nd November 2018

C

Anonymous says 22nd November 2018

C

Belinda Gannett says 22nd November 2018

B for contrast, C for content

Lucy Elliott says 22nd November 2018

I think the third as it gives the idea of calm, which is what we are hoping to achieve!

Dennis Sanders says 22nd November 2018

B , more contrast.

Allyson Donoghue says 22nd November 2018

B

Xaver Basora says 22nd November 2018

I like cover A and the sky blue colour. The cartoon is humourous and helps to impart your message of how the teacher can gain control of the classroom

Kim Dammers says 22nd November 2018

I like A best.

Frances says 22nd November 2018

I would go with A as it appears to be to most eye catching one. C looks like the blurb at the back of a book.

Chris Mitchell says 22nd November 2018

C for sure. Colour and design make it stand out. Testimonials are small appropriate and effective. Love the picture in the faded background.

Cindy Miller-Speight says 22nd November 2018

For the cover of you new old book, I always believe having a sense of humor will get you thru many thins. Between looking at covers A and B it was easy to select cover B. I like that there is the seed of humor but the shades of blue suggest a calming feeling and is just more attractive. Also wished you would use the cartoon character of the man with the halo. I know I’ve seen him on some of your products and he makes me smile . Yes, I would also like to be involved with your new project.

Don Bentley says 22nd November 2018

I would love to be part of your launch team and get a free copy of the book!
I can definitely promote it within the schools I work in and beyond.

A

The picture drew my attention.

Toby Evans says 22nd November 2018

B is my choice!

Omolola Adaji says 22nd November 2018

I like the C cover its much more clearer and there’s no need to have picture of a noisy class.

Leon says 22nd November 2018

I like A because it looks clean and clear. C would be my second choice. Recommendations are helpful, especially if the source is given, but maybe they could go on the back, or no more than one on the front?

Louise Horner says 22nd November 2018

Hi I think B would be my choice but personally I prefer the old cover. What do you have to do to become part of the LAUNCH TEAM?

Kathryn Marsh says 22nd November 2018

Thanks for changing the settings. I tried to vote last night but couldn’t face the registering bit. I vote cover ‘B’.

    rob says 22nd November 2018

    Thanks Greg

Helen Wingrave says 22nd November 2018

I like B best, it drew me in and the darker shade implies the ‘shadow’ over the teacher in the illustration

    rob says 22nd November 2018

    Thanks Helen x

I’m a fan of C. And count me in for the launch team!

Carol Olin says 22nd November 2018

Cover C. The chaos is subdued. You will want to change the spelling of “I’v” to “I’ve” for the third testimonial, unless this is the UK spelling. (I’m in California.) Possible Launch Team – please send info.
